Traffic
Estimation - Affinity Matrix
Here traffic estimation is based on
the traffic matrix in Erlangs (peak hour traffic) in order to define affinity coefficients that will
be normalized with national outgoing traffic or international outgoing
traffic.
The following amounts in Erlangs that can
be measured in the exchange centres have to be entered:
- International
incoming traffic (international transit centre);
- International
outgoing traffic (international transit centre);
- International
transit traffic, including the subregional transit (international transit centre);
- Subregional
incoming traffic (international transit centre);
- Subregional
outgoing traffic (international transit centre);
- Overall
traffic of the capital (capital exchanges);
- Traffic
from
other local operators (national) (international transit centre);
- Traffic
to
other local operators (
national) (international transit centre);
- Traffic from province (capital exchanges);
- Traffic
to
province (capital exchanges);
- Traffic
from
other local operators (national) (capital exchanges);
- Traffic
to
other local operators (
national) (capital exchanges);
- Overall
traffic of the province (province exchanges).
In addition to these amounts, some
other data must be entered:
- Percentage
of transit traffic with international origin;
- Percentage
of transit traffic going to international;
- Percentage
of capital in international traffic;
- Percentage
of national incoming (other local operators) going to the capital;
- Percentage
of national incoming (other local operators) going to national (other local
operators);
- Percentage
of capital in province traffic.
